Jesus was an outlaw; He was a serial criminal: My Religious Me; Part II

(By Pius Vilakati, writing as Mr Pius Rinto)

Jesus was an outlaw; He was a serial criminal
My Religious Me: Part II

If you're a real Christian you'll try your best to emulate Jesus. You'll try to live your life as he lived his here on earth.

If one reads the bible very well, they'll find that Jesus actually broke many laws that had been passed by well-respected "men of God" and kings of his time. He was therefore, according to the laws of his country, a criminal who deserved nothing expect punishment.

He instead chose to be on the side of the people. He broke many unjust laws because he knew that an unjust law is no law at all. An unjust law only deserves one thing; violation.

Hence if you're a Swazi and you claim to be a Christian you'll live your life fighting against the injustices that the people of Swaziland face under the tyranny of king mswati, just like Jesus did during his time here on earth. You will, just like Jesus did to Herod, refer to mswati as "that fox" or any similar reference. That means you'll not try to be too respectful to an oppressor, but you'll refer to the oppression king as an oppressor.

Now, stand up and do Jesus' command: Love your neighbour as yourself.
How can you claim that you've loved your neighbour when you fail to even raise a finger when Sipho Jele is murdered and when Thulani Maseko is imprisoned for raising an opinion against the oppressive tinkhundla system?
How can you claim that you love God if you cannot even show love to God's people here on earth?
You do not even make a whisper when your neighbour is evicted by a chief! Yet you claim to be Christian? Sit down and shut up!

Now stand up and show that you love God by loving his people here on earth!
